Andrea Fernandez

Andrea Fernandez has an extensive background in the field of Early Education. Her 29 years of experience in the field have brought her a wealth of hands-on knowledge and practical experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Andrea Fernandez holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a specialization in Human Development and Social Change, and an Associate of Science Degree in Infant Studies. She is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Education.

Andrea has been with CA Children’s Academy since 1993 and has worked her way up the ladder. She started as a teacher assistant, was promoted to Teacher, Site Supervisor, and Education Coordinator, and in 2006 became the Vice President of Education/Program Director. Andrea oversees the Eligibility, Family Services, Coaching/Professional Development, and Education Departments for CCA and is fully responsible for the development, direction, and coordination of 15 full-day, subsidized early education and development programs serving infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Andrea is the EveryChild California Southern Region President and has served on their board as State Board President, Section President, Section Vice President, and many other leadership positions within the organization. She served as a member of the Los Angeles County Child Development Planning Committee (one term as Vice Chair) and the Los Angeles Trade Tech Child Development Advisory Committee. Andrea is also a trainer for the EveryChild California Professional Development team. She has served as a Professional Development Growth Advisor for the past 20 years and currently mentors up-and-coming leaders in the field.
