Enrolling Families in a State Funded Program
Connecting Families to Services while Navigating Requirements Confidently
EveryChild California, in partnership with Monarch Link, is proud to offer an interactive in-person training designed to help child care professionals confidently connect families to state-subsidized child care services.
Through expert instruction, guided activities, collaborative discussions, and real-world scenarios, participants will build the knowledge and practical skills needed to determine family data files across California's state-funded child care programs.
The training provides practical guidance on requirements that are shared across programs while highlighting key differences among California state-funded child care contract types, including California Alternative Payment Programs (CAPP), General Child Care and Development Programs (CCTR), and California State Preschool Programs (CSPP).
Participants will learn how requirements vary across contracts administered by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Education (CDE), with a focus on applying the applicable regulations accurately in day-to-day enrollment and family services work.
Designed for both new and experienced enrollment professionals, this training builds foundational knowledge while providing timely updates, clarifications, and practical strategies for navigating California's evolving regulatory landscape. Participants will have opportunities to engage directly with trainers, state agency representatives, and experienced field practitioners, ask questions, explore complex scenarios, and learn from the experiences of colleagues from across the state.
In addition to the live training experience, participants will receive digital access to presentation materials and other resources designed to support accurate and efficient enrollment practices long after the training concludes. Content is regularly updated to reflect the latest guidance, regulations, and policy changes affecting California's state-funded child care programs.
