Frequently Asked Questions

EveryChild California is here to support you every step of the way, including answering your first questions!

ECE Voices is EveryChild California’s grassroots advocacy network, created to amplify the voices of early childhood educators and advocates. It connects local stories to statewide policy change.
All early learning and care professionals, administrators, and advocates are welcome — whether you are new to advocacy or already engaged in policy work. Our focus is on elevating the center-based voice.
Leads help organize locally, connect members, and guide advocacy strategies. General Members take quick actions, share stories, and participate in events and trainings.
Leads commit about 3–4 hours a month. General Members can participate as little as 10–20 minutes for rapid actions or more if they want to attend trainings and events.
Members receive clear, jargon-free updates, advocacy toolkits, and access to trainings. Leads also get onboarding, monthly meetings, and mentorship opportunities.
No! ECE Voices is designed to build your skills step by step. Many members start with no prior advocacy experience.
By sharing your story, taking actions, and showing up in your region, you add to a collective voice that directly influences California’s policies and funding for early care and education.
Click “Join ECE Voices,” select your role (Lead or General Member), and you’ll be added to the network. You’ll start receiving updates, training invites, and opportunities to take action.
