CCTR Expansion Funding at Risk: Please Get Involved

EveryChild California wants to share an important and time-sensitive update regarding ECE Federal and State funding cuts that may affect your program.

  • Federal CCDF funds have been reduced by $75.3 million, equivalent to 3,209 CCTR slots
  • Proposition 64 funds have been reduced by $22.7 million, equivalent to 967 CCTR slots
  • This represents a total of 4,176 awarded CCTR slots that are now subject to cuts

If you have received a CCTR expansion contract in recent years but have not yet opened your program, your funds may be at risk of being rescinded.

To ensure that programs that are in the process of opening are not negatively impacted by these reductions, contact us as soon as possible so we can assess your situation and work to advocate on your behalf. Click here to share your story.

Please reach out to us IMMEDIATELY if this applies to you.

This is one more promise that the Governor made that he is breaking! If you would like to testify at upcoming Legislative Hearings on these issues, click here.

Time is of the essence. Please do not delay in reaching out to us. We want to use your story to advocate for keeping these funds!

Thank you for your dedication to providing quality child care in our community.

Warm regards,

Nina Buthee, Executive Director, EveryChild California
